Here are most of my winter must haves, i cannot wait for the cold late dark nights. If its warm cosy nights in with our log fire. When it snows and you put all your water proof's on to go sledging. Frosty mornings spending all your time taking the ice off your car, the amount of times I've had to use a CD!! Buying all your wardrobe with big knits, UGG boots, big fur jackets, mittens and hats. Red and warm colours in our wardrobes.
MY PERSONAL OUTFIT IDEA'S:
-Knitted jumpers in a range of colour's, with leggings or wet look leggings to make it more dressy and a pair of UGGS or dolly shoes.
-Big over sized cardigan, with American apparel leggings and a short crop top teamed with converse vans or dolly shoes.
-Leather jacket with a fur edge, dress (skater) then woolen leggings or textured leggings and a pair of Jeffrey Campbell or high winter wedges.
Complete all looks with:
-a large handbag in the warm colour's, berry, tan, beige and black.
-long printed scarfs or chunky knit.
-warm lipstick to match your completion.
Outerwear:
Leather jacket – Perfect for autumn with a tee, or paired with a hoodie or jumper in the winter.
Oversized cardigan – Wear with a pair of leggings.
Smart duffel – You always need a smart coat that you can wear with heels when you’re going to one of those smart parties.
Camo jacket – You’ll be on trend with a camo jacket, but if you don’t want to stand out too much then try a plain khaki one.
Denim Jacket – This is pretty much an all year wardrobe staple, but maybe you bought a sleeveless one for the summer. If so, invest in a long sleeved one.
Blazer(s) – One or more, it doesn’t really matter. If its only one, then go for black as its versatile and looks incredibly smart.
Hoodie – I don’t think I need to explain this.
Tops:
Oversized jumper – Worn by its self or with a shirt underneath, an oversized jumper is definitely a must have this season.
Fitted jumper – This can look smarter than an oversized jumper, but can be worn in exactly the same way.
White shirt – Under a jumper or on its own, a white shirt is an all year piece that can really shine in autum/winter.
Denim shirt – Over, under, on its own…the possibilities are endless. Over a band tee, under a jumper, on its own with leather shorts, you choose.
Checkered shirt – This is the same as the denim – a versatile piece.
Bottoms:
Leather pants and/or shorts – Leather pants can be difficult to wear if you have a fuller body shape and short legs (like me) but if you have luscious long pins then go ahead and get a pair! I prefer (faux) leather shorts. Pair them with a fitted or oversized jumper, throw a pair of thick tights underneath and you’re ready to go.
Black, indigo and burnt orange jeans – Black jeans go with EVERYTHING. Indigo jeans are the same. Burnt orange ones are a little trickier, but get it right and they’re amazing. They’re the perfect colour for autumn and stand out without having the blinding effect that a neon orange jean does.
Leggings – A pair of black leggings is a definite must have for autumn/winter, but you can also get yourself a pair of patterned ones. Fair isle is the pattern of winter, so I recommend them!
Denim shorts – If you have a pair left over from summer then definitely keep wearing them, just layer them over a pair of tights and add a shirt or jumper for autumn/winter. But if you don’t have a pair then you don’t necessarily need to go out and buy some (they’re more spring/summer).
Shoes:
Wedge trainer/hightops – I personally find these shoes really hard to walk in because I’m constantly thinking “but they’re trainers!!” However they are extremely on trend, so if you can get over the surreal feeling to start with, then go for it!
Combat boot – These look amazing with a camo jacket! If you’re going to go grunge, then go all out.
Converse – Another item I don’t really need to explain. Just pick a style and pick a colour…you can’t go wrong.
Wedge ankle boot – Heels can be impractical in the winter, but a sturdy pair of wedge ankle boots will be perfect for those cold days. If its even colder, then a throw on a pair of thick socks with a bow on to spice it up:)
Hope you like all my pics and my take on winter. Here are some pictures that remind me of winter:)
